Snapshots of Berlin

30 January 2013

When I first set out to visit Germany, I didn't expect much. I never found WWII very interesting in history. I didn't know anything about German culture other than beer and pretzels.
Suddenly you're standing in the middle of history and you're overcome with a sense of awe. It's all so beautiful.

    1. Indeed, Germany has a sordid past but that is the past! Berlin is such a beautiful city that tastefully acknowledges WWII and also embraces its future potential.

    1. Yes definitely go in Spring! My trip was in late April and the weather was absolutely perfect! I even got a tan line just from walking around the city because there was so much sunshine!
